Power After AC Power ON Auto Selects the action taken when the Equipment is

Stay Off: Enters Soft Power Off mode when

Power On: Automatically starts up the OS
when the Equipment is powered on.

Auto: If the OS was running at the last
power-off of the Equipment, this option starts
up the OS in the same manner as “Power On”.
If the OS was not running at the last power-off
of the Equipment, this option enters Soft Power
Off mode in the same manner as “Stay Off”.
When the input power cord is disconnected while
the backup battery is exhausted or not connected,
this setting item will be set to “Stay Off”. (*3)
FAN failure detection Enabled Selects whether to detect abnormal fan rotation
when the Equipment is powered on. Do not
change the default setting.
Soft off Enabled Do not change the default setting. (*4)
Power saving mode Disabled Selects whether to start up the OS in power
saving mode. Do not change the default setting.

Internal Shell
Sets the boot device priority in starting up the OS.
Do not change the default setting.
Exit Exit Saving Changes — Saves the contents changed in the setup into
SPI-ROM, and reboots the Equipment.
Exit Discarding Changes — Discards the contents changed by setup of this
time, and reboots the Equipment with the setting
previously saved in SPI-ROM.
Load Setup Defaults — Reads the default setting values of BIOS. (*5)
*2 In the event that you turn on power again before the Standby lamp turns off, the Stay Off setting may not take
effect. Instead of entering Soft Power Off mode, the OS may automatically start up.
*3 System startup initiated by connecting the input power cord and pressing the Power switch on the front panel
saves the current value of After AC Power ON. Because the backup battery is exhausted or not connected,
however, turning off of the main power by disconnecting the input power cord fails to save the current value and
causes this setting to be “Stay Off”.
*4 With “Disabled” Soft off setting, an attempt to shut down the OS does not automatically turn off the primary
power but shows the message that says “It is now safe to turn off your computer”.
*5 The default values are only read and are not saved in SPI-ROM. To save the setting contents into SPI-ROM,
use “Exit Saving Changes” subsequent to this option.
