Do not disconnect the power supply to the Equipment or do not press the RESET switch
while the DVD medium is being read or written. Otherwise, the contents of the DVD
medium may be destroyed.

Use the DVD drive in a low-dust environment. Keep the areas around the DVD drive
neat. When spraying an insecticide or other liquid, completely cover the entire DVD
drive with a vinyl sheet or similar protection in advance.
Do not apply a strong shock to the DVD drive while it is in use.

Leaving the DVD medium in the tray may cause a failure.
Handling the DVD medium
Wipe the DVD medium in a radiating manner with a dry and soft cloth, from its
center toward the outer edge.
Do not use a cloth with benzine, thinner, water, record cleaner, antistatic agent, or
silicon.
Do not use a hair drier to remove dust or moisture.
Do not store a DVD medium in a hot place.

Do not hand-write characters or scratch the recording surface.
Do not play with a DVD medium, e.g., by inserting a bar into the center hole and
rotating the DVD medium.
(4) Optical mouse
The optical mouse may fail to operate properly on a transparent, translucent or reflecting
surface (such as glass or mirror) because of the characteristics of the optical sensor. In this
case, avoid using the optical mouse on such surfaces or use a commercially available
optical mouse pad. The optical mouse may also fail to operate properly if the surface of
the optical sensor is contaminated by condensation or oil mist. To use the optical mouse
in such an environment, take sufficient protective measures in the same manner as for the
Equipment.
