10.6.3 Status display function for RAID1

The status display function for RAID1 shows the current status of the software RAID1. It is
used for checking the status of the software RAID1.
The following is a list of information this function displays.

• RAID status

Item Value

Description

Array Status

OPTIMAL

The RAID is working properly.

The array has redundancy. (*1)

DEGRADE

The RAID is in fall-back operation.

The array does not have redundancy. (*1)

UNKNOWN

The status is unknown.

(*1) If medium error occurs, “(MEDIA ERROR)” is attached to the end of the value.

Medium error means that read error occurred at the copy source HDD during rebuild and there is a

problem with data integrity.

• Status of each HDD

ONLINE

The HDD is working properly.

OFFLINE

Due to HDD failure, the HDD is disconnected.

You need to replace the HDD.

OFFLINE (INCOMPLETE

DATA)

The HDD is disconnected due to power failure or

reset. If you rebuild the RAID, you can continue to

use the HDD.

REBUILD

The HDD is under a rebuild process. (*2)

NORMAL

The HDD has never been used for the B model.

NOTMOUNTED

No HDD is mounted in the drive bay.

UNKNOWN Acquisition

the HDD status failed.

ERROR

Access to the HDD failed.
