PROTECTION AND WARNING
FEATURES
The master warning system provides an aural
warning in addition to standard airplane an-
nunciations and warning tones. The aural voice
message, “CABIN ALTITUDE” is audible
whenever the cabin altitude exceeds 10,000
feet (if LDG ALT set at 8,000 feet or less), or
14,500 feet (if LDG ALT set above 8,000 feet
and the airplane is below 24,500'). This cau-
tion message is a repeating message and is
mutable by depressing the mute switch on the
right throttle. If after having muted the aural
warning, and 60 seconds later the condition is
still present, the aural caution message is again
activated.
SYSTEM OPERATION
SYSTEM TEST
Following initial power-up the airplane pres-
surization system performs an automatic sys-
tem test. Any failures detected during the
system test are annunciated on the CAS as per
Table 12-1 and on the CPC LCD. Inflight, a
continuous self-test is run on the CPCS con-
troller and its inputs. If the test is successful
auto mode will be active and no legend on the
LCD/CAS is illuminated.
