Use a straight edge and a feeler gauge to measure the

gerotor end clearance.

Service Limit: 0.0035 in

Notice

Make sure to inspect both gerotor assemblies and their
respective pump bodies.

Replace components that are worn, damaged, or exceed
their service limits.

ASSEMBLY

Install the retaining ring and insert the pump shaft into

the backplate.

Caution

Oil pump components must be assembled exactly as
they were removed from the oil pump housing.

Notice

Coat all components with clean engine oil before
assembly.

3. BACKPLATE

Install the first dowel pin into the oil pump shaft.

Place the first georotor assembly on the oil pump shaft

and into the backplate.

Install the housing alignment pins.

Install the pump housing.

Install the second dowel pin into the oil pump shaft.

Place the second georotor assembly on the oil pump

shaft and into the backplate.

Install the retaining ring.

Install the oil pump frontplate and tighten the housing

screws.

Torque: 36 in-lbs

Notice

Make sure the pump rotates freely before installation.
