LACING WHEEL

A complete spoke set includes twenty inner spokes, twenty 
outer spokes, and 40 spoke nipples. Inner spokes have 
heads that angle away from the spoke shaft, outer spokes 
have heads that angle toward the spoke shaft.

Notice

When properly installed, inner spoke shafts reside inside 
the hub flange, and outer spoke shafts reside outside the 
hub flange.

Place wheel hub near edge of work surface with the 

stamped text flange up.

2.

Insert an inner spoke into every other lower flange spoke 

hole. Swing all lower flange inner spokes counterclockwise. 
as far as possible.

Insert an outer spoke in each remaining lower flange 

spoke hole.Swing all lower flange outer spokes clockwise as 
far as possible.

Insert an inner spoke in a upper flange spoke hole that 

lies just clockwise from a lower flange outer spoke hole.

hole. Swing all upper flange inner spokes clockwise as far as 
possible. Make sure all upper flange spokes rest on top of the 
lower flange spokes.
