4. Remove the housing alignment pins.
5. Remove the gerotor assembly.
Caution
The georotor assembly must be reinstalled exactly as it
was removed from the oil pump. Use a permanent
marker to identify the inner and outer surfaces of the
gerotor components.
6. Remove the pump shaft and the gerotor dowel pin.

INSPECTION
Thoroughly clean all oil pump components prior to inspection.
IDLER
1. Inspect the idler shaft, idler gear, and all shaft spacers for
wear, cracks, or damage.
2. Inspect the idler gear bearing. The needles should rotate
smoothly and quietly.
Replace any worn or damaged components.

RELIEF VALVE
1. Push in the relief valve plunger to make sure it moves
smoothly in the valve housing.
2. To make sure the valve is not plugged, run solvent
through the relief valve while depressing the valve, solvent
should flow through the orifice in the valve.
3. Blow any debris from the relief valve with low pressure
compressed air.

1. Inspect the pump shaft and georotor assembly for wear,
cracks or damage.
2. Use a feeler gauge to measure the gerotor tip clearance.
Service Limit: 0.008 in
3. Use a feeler gauge to measure the pump body clearance.
Service Limit: 0.009 in
