INSTALLATION

1.

Install the neutral switch with a new seal washer.

Torque: 12 ft-lbs

2.

Connect the wiring harness to the neutral switch.

OIL PRESSURE SWITCH

The oil pressure switch is located on the right side of the 
crankcase behind the timing gear cover. The switch is 
powered through the Lights fuse and the low oil pressure 
indicator lamp.

At startup, the oil pressure switch is closed and the low oil 
pressure indicator lamp is illuminated. As the oil pressure 
rises to normal operating levels, the switch opens and 
extinguishes the indicator lamp. While the engine is running, 
if the oil pressure drops to below 3 - 5 psi, the switch closes 
and illuminates the indicator lamp.

Caution

If the low pressure indicator lamp remains lit while the 
engine is running, stop the engine immediately and 
check the oil level and test the system pressure

 (see OIL
