Notice

It is important that the rod assemblies are returned to the 
same side on the crankshaft as from which they were 
removed. Make sure to mark (with different color paint or 
different numbers) the out side of the right and left rods 
before removing them from the crankshaft.

Disassemble the rods from the crankshaft.

2. OUTER SIDE RIGHT ROD

Install the rod cap onto the same rod immediately after 
removal (with dimple on rod in alignment with dimple on cap). 
This will ensure that the rods stay together as pairs for 
inspection, repair and assembly.

Caution

Make sure the bearing halves stay in place with the rod 
and cap from which they were removed. They must stay 
in there original positions to obtain correct oil clearance 
and to prevent engine damage.
