13.2 Perform AOC calibration
AOC calibration
trains
the AOC algorithm to adjust for your network speed and valve closure speed. AOC
calibration is required only if
AOC Compensation Mode
is set to AOC Algorithm.
There are two options for AOC calibration:
•
Calculate and save: When you are satisfied with the results of AOC calibration, you can save the current
AOC coefficient. It will be used for all batches.
•
Rolling calibration: The AOC coefficient is recalculated for each batch, based on the results of the most
recent batches.
Prerequisites
Compensation Mode must be set to AOC.
13.2.1 Perform AOC calibration using the display
Procedure
•
To calculate and save an AOC coefficient:
a) Choose
Menu
>
Operations
>
Batcher
>
AOC Calibration
.
b) Set
AOC Cal Status
to On.
c) Run several batches, allowing each batch to run to completion, and observe the totals.
d) When batch repeatability meets requirements, set
AOC Cal Status
to Off.
AOC calibration is stopped, and the current coefficient is saved.
Important
If you are using a saved value, repeat AOC calibration:
—
Whenever the fluid characteristics change, especially viscosity
—
Whenever you change any configuration parameter that can affect flow measurement (e.g., damping)
•
To set up rolling calibration:
a) Choose
Menu
>
Operations
>
Batcher
>
AOC Calibration
.
b) Set
AOC Window
to the number of batches that the rolling AOC coefficient will be based on.
c) Set
AOC Cal Status
to On.
Important
If you are using rolling calibration, and fluid characteristics change or the transmitter configuration
changes, the transmitter will automatically adjust to the new conditions after a few batches.
