Using Auto Timer [ Auto Timer ]
Auto Timer is used to shoot still images or videos. Since the shutter is automatically released after the
specified time has elapsed, you can take your own picture and avoid blurring of images due to hand
movement.
・
The duration before shooting can be set in “Auto-timer duration” of Still Image Setting and Recording
Setting.

Shooting nearby object [ Macro Mode ]
When shooting a subject with Auto Focus from a very short distance of approx. 7 to 30 cm, setting Macro
Mode enables camera to bring the subject into focus. When not using Auto Focus, the subject can be
brought into focus at approx. 7 to 11 cm.

Macro Mode is unavailable for shooting with the in-camera.

INFORMATION

In still image shooting with the out-camera, when increasing the magnification with the image size of 96 x
72 (phonebook), 128 x 96 (Sub-QCIF), 176 x 144 (QCIF), 240 x 320 (stand-by) or 352 x 288 (CIF) set,
the image may appear blurred on the screen. However, the actual shot image will be recorded with the
quality corresponding to the magnification you selected.
●
When increasing the magnification, the image appears blurred, but it will be focused after a while.
The countdown sound is heard and the Compact light flashes in red. An
estimate of the remaining time before shooting and the remaining number
of seconds are displayed by the indicator and counter. The intervals of
flashing become shorter as the time of shooting approaches, and the
shutter sound is heard after the specified time has elapsed.

To stop the auto timer on the way, press

.

When the auto timer is operating, the multi-indicator flashes.
