Starting Privacy Mode
To enable Privacy Mode Setting, you need to start Privacy Mode.

Key Lock
Preventing inadvertent use of keys
Disable the key operation when FOMA terminal is closed and prevent from the wrong operation
while carried around as in the bags.

While Key Lock is ON, the key operation become valid when opening FOMA terminal.

While you use the function restricted by Privacy Mode, once the terminal security code have been
entered, the authentication is not required until the stand-by display is displayed by pressing
f
. The
same rule applies when multiple items are set to “Authorized access” in Privacy Mode Setting. Note that
when you use the function which is not restricted by Privacy Mode and requires the terminal security
code entry, you need to enter the terminal security code when activating Privacy Mode.
Example

Once you have entered the terminal security code while you are using the phonebook, you do not need
to enter it again until you have finished using the phonebook functions.
・
When trying to send the image saved in My Picture with the My picture and the phonebook have been
set to “Authorized access”, no authentication screen is displayed when trying to access to the
phonebook from the mail composition screen to enter the terminal security code in starting My Picture.
●
Phonebook & Logs is set to “Authorized access”, you cannot refer to the phonebook when inputting the
characters while Privacy Mode is ON.
●
In case Privacy Mode is activated and My picture and i-motion are set to “Authorized access”, Privacy
Mode is operated according to Sound Setting or the image setting in Mail/Call Image even if there is an
incoming call or mail from the other party that ring alert or image is set in the FOMA terminal phonebook.
●
In case Privacy Mode is activated and My picture is set to “Authorized access”, if all entries in the FOMA
terminal phonebook are send via infrared communication or backed up to the miniSD memory card, the
still images set in the FOMA terminal phonebook are not send or backed up.
