Using UIM (FOMA card)
Use the UIM (FOMA card) to store your phone number and other information.
Insert the UIM into a FOMA-compatible terminal to use the card.

For details on handling the UIM, refer to the UIM manual.
Inserting/removing UIM
Use your FOMA terminal with the UIM inserted. If the UIM is not inserted in your FOMA terminal, first
insert it.

Before inserting or removing the UIM, turn the power off.

Insert or remove the UIM with FOMA terminal closed using both hands.

Pull out the UIM slot tray.

The operations to follow are the same as

in “Inserting card”.

Remove the UIM by sliding it out.

Remove the rear cover and then the
battery pack.

Pull out the UIM slot tray.
Place your finger on the cut corner of the
slot tray and slide it out until it stops.

Insert the UIM into the slot with the IC
side of the card facing down.

Lift the bottom of the slot tray until the
UIM fits into place.
Align the cut corner of the slot tray to the cut
corner of the UIM.

Push the slot tray in until it fits into
place.
f
Reattach the battery pack and then the
rear cover.

Tray is pulled out until it stops.
Tab
Align the tab of the slot tray to the UIM slot and insert the tray straight in.
● Remove the UIM before replacing the slot tray.
