Receive SMS
When Short Message (SMS) is received
When a Short Message (SMS) is delivered, it is automatically received and the screen display,
ring tone, vibrator, and multi-indicator notify you that a Short Message (SMS) has been received.
The received Short Message (SMS) is saved in Inbox.

Receive a Short Message (SMS).
blinks and “Receiving message...” is displayed.
Mail ring tone sounds, the multi-indicator flashes and the reception result screen is displayed.

Pressing

while receiving messages stops the reception.

If you do not press any keys for about 15 seconds after the reception result screen is displayed
or until the ring tone stops, the display returns to the screen displayed prior to reception. To
return to the previous screen immediately, press
c
.
■ Reading received Short Message (SMS) immediately

You can reply to (

P271) or forward (

P272) the received Short Message (SMS).
The operation is the same as for i-mode Mail. You cannot reply to Short Message (SMS)
for which “User unset”, “Payphone” or “Not support” is displayed in the sender field.

” is indicated after “Messages”.
Blinks while message is being received.
