Removal
1.
Shut down the operating system and power down the system.
2.
Expose the card cage side of the system. See Section 6.3
3.
Remove both memory riser cards.
4.
Remove all CPUs.
5.
Remove all PCI and EISA options.
6.
From the back of the cabinet, using a Phillips head screwdriver, unscrew the
four screws holding the CPU and memory riser card brace from the system
frame. Remove the brace.
7.
Unplug all cables connected to the motherboard and clear access to all screws
holding the motherboard in place.
8.
Using a Phillips head screwdriver unscrew the eleven screws holding the
motherboard in place and remove it from the system. Note the two guide studs,
one in the upper right corner and the other in the lower left corner protrude
through holes in motherboard.
Replacement
Reverse the steps in the Removal procedure.
Verification
Power up the system (press the Halt button if necessary to bring up the SRM
console) and issue the show device command at the console prompt to verify that the
system sees all system options and peripherals.
