Confirm the following:
•
Each of the drive bays has either a drive or a filler panel installed.
•
The cover is in place during normal operation.
•
There is at least 50 mm (2 inches) of ventilated space at the sides of the Color
Controller C-80 and 127 mm (5 inches) of space around the front and rear of the
server.
•
The cover is removed for no longer than 30 minutes while the server is
operating.
•
The fans are operating correctly and the air flow is good.
•
A failed fan is replaced within 48 hours.
4.4.10 Error Messages
There are four types of error messages:
•
System
•
Hardware
•
Software
•
Connection
Each error message indicates a problem and sometimes also a recovery action. If
the problem is not resolved after performing the recovery action, perform a
diagnostics test and replace the problematic part.
The following tables contain examples of different error messages.
