5.10 Replacing Fans

Perform the following procedures to remove and install the rear fan and PCI fan.

5.10.1 Removing the Rear Fan

1. Review

2. Turn off the Color Controller C-80 and peripheral devices. Disconnect all AC

power cords and external cables.

3. Remove the side cover. See

4. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board connector (Fan 5).

5. Press the two locking tabs, protruding through the outside of the rear of the

server, outward. See Figure 45 on page 124.

6. Lift the fan upward and out of the server.
