Media Phases
Navigation Buttons and Status Indicators
Initialize

and load MCV and FBR consumables. Logs data to file. Once triggered, the Initialize Phase
cannot be cancelled.
Media Fill/Prime
Fills the MCV and primes the bioreactor.
Media Conditioning
User sets fixed conditions for MCV pH, MCV DO, and FBR DO calibrations. Upon
completion of media conditioning system, prompts to calibrate sensors.
Media Maintenance Puts DO, pH, and temperature loops into Automatic mode at user setpoints. Once
triggered, Media Maintenance Phase cannot be cancelled.
Inoculation
Starts inoculation timer, prompts for volume, recirculates at attachment speed and time.
Media Exchange
Replaces media in system per set up.
Transfection
Mixes for a set time, updates MCV volume and restarts loops.
Shutdown
Stops all loops and stops data logging to file. Once triggered, Shutdown Phase cannot be
cancelled.
Figure 7-11 shows the sequences in Harvest Phases. Example: Selecting Harvest Wash allows a pop-up to set up the phase. Table 7-7 lists
all sequences under Harvest Phases.
