6. Install fresh gas filter.

• Push the adapter into the back of the unit.
• When the adapter is properly connected, the metal tab will raise and then snap back into

place.

This procedure is complete.

9.4 Enclosure Filter Replacement

This procedure shows how to replace the five enclosure filters (Hammond Manufacturing Cat. No. PFF10000) on the Corning Ascent FBR
instrument (Figure 9-2).

Make sure the instrument is powered off.

2. Remove the vent cover.

• Use your fingers to pull open the top of the vent cover.
• If the cover is hard to pull open, a flathead screwdriver may be used as a wedge to pry the

cover off. Care should be taken to prevent damage or scratches.

3. Remove the old filter, insert the new filter.

• Remove the fouled filter against the vent cover.
• Insert the fresh filter in its place.
