SRC formats
SRCs are strings of either six or eight alphanumeric characters. The first four characters
designate the reference code type and the second four characters designate the unit
reference code (URC).
The first character indicates the type of error. In a few cases, the first two characters
indicate the type of error:
•
1xxxxxxx - System power control network (SPCN) error
• 6xxxxxxx - Virtual optical device error
•
A1xxxxxx - Attention required (Service processor)
• AAxxxxxx - Attention required (Partition firmware)
•
B1xxxxxx - Service processor error, such as a boot problem
• B6xxxxxx – Licensed Internal Code or hardware event error
•
B9xxxxxx – Software installation error
• BAxxxxxx - Partition firmware error
•
Cxxxxxxx - Checkpoint (must hang to indicate an error)
• Dxxxxxxx - Dump checkpoint (must hang to indicate an error)
