General-Purpose Timers

mode timer stops at the end of a period.
During a
TIMER_STATUS
register read access, all reserved or unused bits
return a 0.

TRUNx
bits has no
effect in other modes or when a timer has not been enabled. Writing the
TRUNx
bits to 1 in
PWM_OUT
mode has no effect on a timer that has not first
been disabled.
