2 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
These operating instructions describe a hand-op-
erated chain saw that is powered by a petrol en-
gine.
2.1 Intended use
The chain saw is exclusively designed for domes-
tic gardening applications. In this application area
the chain saw can be used for wood sawing
work, e.g. for:

Sawing of tree trunks
■
Sawing of squared timbers
■
Sawing of branches, depending on the length
of cut
The chain saw must only be used outdoors for
working with wood. While in use, it is necessary
to wear adequate personal protective equipment.
Further applications, such as professional tree
care within a tree, are expressly excluded. The
operator is liable for any damage caused by im-
proper operation. It is only permitted to use the
saw chains and bar combinations stated in the
operating instructions for this device. Any other
application not in accordance with the designated
use described here shall be regarded as misuse.
The chain saw must not be used in the commer-
cial sector.
CAUTION!
Danger of injury due to non-designat-
ed use!
If wood or other substances embedded
with foreign bodies are sawn with the
chain saw, injury can result.

Only use the chain saw for light
wood sawing work.

Before sawing wood, check for for-
eign bodies, e.g. nails, screws, fit-
tings.
2.2 Possible foreseeable misuse

Do not saw off any branches that are directly
or at an acute angle above the user or other
persons.

Do not use old oil.
■
Do not use the tool in a potentially explosive
atmosphere.
