After driving:
WARNING
•
Apply the parking brake.
•
Move the ladder down.
•
Turn the engine off and take the ignition key with you.
•
Use the ladder for climbing on and off the machine.
•
Use wheel chocks after parking on a slope.
5.3 Spraying safely on the field
Before spraying:
WARNING
•
Working with spray products: use Personal Protective Equipment specified by the spray
product manufacturer (refer to the label and the Safety Data Sheet).
•
Unfold the spray boom. Do not unfold the spray boom near power lines.
•
Walk around the machine and check for damage and leaks. Secure loose parts and close
all covers.
•
Close the hood between the left wheels.
•
Send everyone away. Other people can distract you or obstruct the view.
•
Use the ladder for climbing on and off the machine.
•
Sit down on the driver’s seat, close the door and start the engine.
•
In case of a pressurized cab: check the warning light “cab pressure” (

61 ).
•
Adjust the driver’s seat if necessary.
•
Fasten your seat belt.
•
Move the ladder up.
•
Turn the work lights on if necessary.
•
Adjust the rear-view mirrors if necessary.
•
Select FIELD MODE (main screen).
NOTICE
•
Prevent damage to the spray boom: stop driving before you unfold the spray boom.
While spraying:
WARNING
•
Keep a safe distance from power lines.
•
Do not let anyone but an instructor ride along on the machine.
The instructor must sit on the instructor seat and must fasten his seat belt. The instructor
seat is certainly not a child seat.
•
Do not eat, drink or smoke while spraying.
•
Do not leave the cab while spraying.
•
Keep the doors closed.
•
In case of a pressurized cab: check the warning light “cab pressure” (  61 ).
•
Be careful near ditches and on slopes to prevent accidents.
