6.30 Using a jack
WARNING
Read and obey the instructions in the manual of the jack.
The clean water tank and the spray tank must be empty.
Do not lift more than one wheel at the same time.
Do not leave the machine on the jack: use a suitable axle stand for support.
Read and obey the instructions in the manual of the axle stand.
1.
Check that the clean water tank and the
spray tank are empty.
2. Park the sprayer on a firm, even surface.
3. Apply the parking brake.
4. Turn the engine off and take the ignition key
with you.
5. Use wheel chocks [1].
6. Use a jack [2] with a lifting capacity of at
least 5000 kg.
7. Put the jack [2] below the jack support point
[3].
6.31 Wheel nuts
WARNING
Do not apply oil or grease on the screw thread.
Clean the contact surfaces of the hub and the wheel.
Use a calibrated torque wrench.
Retighten the wheel nuts according to the Maintenance schedule.
Tighten the wheel nuts in stages (refer to the tight-
ening torques below) and in the correct sequence
(refer to the illustration).
12 wheel nuts (M22 x 1.5):
Stage 1:
180 Nm.
Stage 2: 360 Nm.
Stage 3: 550 Nm.
