The protection relay does not include any batteries as backup power
when the auxiliary power goes down. However, the relay configuration
and settings, events, disturbance recordings and any critical data stay
in the relay's memory because those are saved to a nonvolatile memory.
Also, the relay's real-time clock is kept running via a 48-hour capacitor
backup.
