16. Remove the battery-backed memory card from the failed controller:

a. Remove the screw that secures the card to the chassis.
b. Touch the chassis of the old controller to fully discharge ESD.
c. Remove the card as shown below.

d. Touch the new controller chassis to fully discharge ESD.
e. Insert the card into the outermost PCI slot in the replacement controller.
f.

Replace the screw that secures the card to the chassis.

Caution:

Hold the card by the top and bottom edges at the rear and the top mounting
plate screw as shown below to avoid touching components. This card may be
active and retaining user data. Proper handling is required.
