Emprise 7000 Installation and Service Guide 36

6. To install the system controller into the rack, line up the rear of the chassis rails with the front

of the rack rails.

7. Slide the chassis rails into the rack rails, keeping the pressure even on both sides. You may

have to depress the locking tabs when inserting the controller. When the controller is
completely into the rack, the locking tabs should click.

8. Insert and tighten the thumbscrews that hold the front of the controller to the rack.

9. Put the faceplate on the front of the controller.

10. Do not connect power cords or power up the controllers at this time. Before applying power,

you must finish installing the other components and then complete the procedures in
“Chapter 3: Cabling the Emprise 7000” on page 39.
