10. Remove the cover on the replacement controller as described in step 8.
11. Put on the anti-static wrist strap and attach it to the chassis of the replacement controller.
Touch the failed controller chassis to fully discharge any residual ESD. Keep the wrist strap
on for the remainder of this procedure.
12. Reseat the memory sticks. To remove the memory stick, push down on the eject lever at
each end of the memory stick. Fully remove the memory stick and reseat it in the same slot
on the motherboard. Push down on the memory stick until the ejector lever locks into the
notch on the memory stick.
13. If the replacement controller has no memory sticks, move them from the failed controller to
the replacement, intalling them into the same slots.
14. Carefully remove the IPMI card from the failed controller. Insert it in the same slot in the
replacement controller and replace the screws.

15. The new controller has cover plates in the PCI card slots. Remove the PCI cover plates that
correspond to the FCICs and the memory card in the old controller. Retain the screws.
