28. Activate the new controller:

a. In ICON Manager, open the Physical View for the system you are working with.
b. Click the replacement controller. The Controller Properties show it in an inactivated

state.

c. Choose Activate Controller from the Actions pane. A message appears, prompting

you to confirm that you want to activate the controller. Click OK.

d. Verify that the controller is operational in the controller properties.

29. Place the failed controller in the replacement packaging and return it to Xiotech.
