Rack Mounting a System Controller

1. The Emprise system controller has two rack rails: a fixed rail and a sliding rail. Position both

rails at the desired location in the rack, keeping the sliding rail guide facing the inside of the
rack.

Figure 3-12: Assembling the Rack Rails

2. Screw the assembly securely to the rack using the brackets provided.

3. Attach the other rail assembly to the other side of the rack, making sure both are at the exact

same height and with the rail guides facing inward.

4. Press the locking tabs to continue pulling the inner rails completely out. Position the inner

rails along each side of the controller, lining up the two screw holes on each side.

5. If not already on, put on the anti-static wrist strap and attach it to a grounded surface such as

the rack enclosure. Keep the wrist strap on for the remainder of this procedure.
