Emprise 7000 Installation and Service Guide 53

Configure the Switch

1. Log in to the switch to perform the zoning setup.

2. In Notepad or Wordpad, open the Cisco configuration text file that contains configuration

commands.

3. Select and copy the entire file.

4. Go back to the terminal window.

5. Paste all the commands into the window. This causes the commands to execute and the

switch to be configured. The script zones the switch and sets each port to 4G and Fabric
mode.

6. After the commands execute, execute the "show zone active" command.

7. Examine the output to see that all ports are members of a zoneset.

The configuration text file looks like the following:
