Replacing a Power Supply
To determine whether the power supply needs to be replaced, check the following:

Ensure that the component to be replaced has a status of Critical or Non-Operational:

In the Physical View in ICON Manager, select the power supply to see its status, or
–
From the ISE’s CLI, type
show ps
•
Logs in ICON Manager
•
On the failed power supply, the amber LED is on and the green LED is off, indicating that
the component is ready to be removed
1. Press the switch on the power supply to the off position.
2. Remove the power cord from the power supply.
3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the two screws securing the latch handle.
4. Open the latch handle fully to unseat the power supply.
Note:
Prior to replacing a power supply, check the power supply cables at the power
supply connector and the AC receptacle to be sure they are properly and
securely seated.
Note:
The cooling design of the ISE requires that components be present in each
bay. Do not remove a failed component until the replacement has arrived to
minimize the time the ISE operates with a missing component.
Caution:
Ensure that the other power supply in the ISE is functional. Turning off the
power supply to be replaced when the other power supply is not functional
causes an improper system shutdown with undesirable consequences.
