24. Focus the condenser through the eyepieces.
a. While looking through the eyepieces, turn the condenser knob on the
lower left side of the iN5 approximately ¾-1 turn counter clockwise to
raise the condenser; the field of view (FOV) should be illuminated.
b. Fine tune the condenser knob clockwise/counterclockwise to bring the
image of the 6mm transmission target (dark outer ring on the inside
edge of the FOV) into focus. The target image is indicated by the grey
inner ring in the illustration on the right below.
If the target image is centered, continue with step 27.
If the target image is not centered, continue with step 24c.
If you cannot find the target image, continue with step 25.
