12. Prepare the iN5 components.
Remove the packing materials from all iN5
components removed from both trays including the red cap from the condenser.
Depending on the iN5 configuration ordered this may include the binocular viewer;
trinocular viewer with camera; eyepieces; X-Y stage, condenser; system cabling,
iN5 Help and Microview software, thermos and funnel.
Properly dispose of the
packing materials and set all accessory cases aside.
13. If this is an aftermarket installation of the iN5, update the system software to
Omnic 9.8 or greater and then install the iN5 Help and Microview software.
The software will install the appropriate iN5 microscope experiment files (MCT or
DTGS) and MicroView software.
Important
For iN5’s being connected to an existing iS50, iS50Diag.exe must be
version 1.7 or greater or the ability to run the PV test will not be available. After
upgrading software check that the iS50Diag.exe version located at program
files>Omnic iS50Diag.exe is correct, if not, the software failed to upgrade or the
upgrade was incomplete. Reload software.
