Connecting I/Os
Connection cables for the inputs/outputs of the D4x5‑2, CX32‑2, and TB30
For the input/output wiring, use rigid or flexible cables with a conductor cross-section as stated
in the manual.
Ferrules are not mandatory.
You can use ferrules without an insulating collar in accordance with DIN 46228, Form A long
version.
Note
To achieve optimum interference immunity, shielded cables must be used for connecting
analog signals, measuring inputs or external zero marks.
Tools required
Screwdriver 0.4 x 2.0 mm
Wiring inputs/outputs
1. Strip back the cable insulation as stated in the manual, if necessary, press on a ferrule.
2. Wire the digital inputs and outputs for connection of the sensors and actuators.
3. Insert the cable into the appropriate spring-loaded terminal. This is easier when you use
the screwdriver to push back the spring.
