4 . Grasp the end of the battery cover that’s closest to the bottom of the instrument and

lift it up.

5 . Carefully remove the old alkaline batteries. Verify that the battery compartment and

electrical contacts are clean.

6 . Carefully install the new AA alkaline batteries according to the battery diagram

inside the battery compartment.

7 . Close the battery cover and secure the battery cover latch by pushing it up and

toward the top of the instrument.
