8 . Hold the PID sensor steady on the working surface with one hand and using the other
hand, locate the tabs on the electrode stack removal tool and insert them into the slots
on the side of the PID sensor near the face.

9 . Squeeze the removal tool to push the tabs into the sensor slots until the electrode
stack and lamp are released.
10 . Carefully lift the PID sensor body away from the electrode stack and lamp. If the
lamp remains lodged in the sensor body, carefully remove it with tweezers.
11 . If the spring in the lamp cavity comes out, place it back into the lamp cavity.
12 . Discard the old PID lamp.
NOTE:
At this point it is recommended that the finger cots be used on the fingers
handling the lamp. Finger cots are included with the lamp cleaning kit.
