display on the hardware screen

reads greater than 30 cmH

8. Remove cork from the wye.

9. Touch

Crossover

to de-energize (gray background) the crossover

solenoid, then block the wye.

10. Check that the

Inhalation Pressure

display reads 0 ± 0.1 cmH

11. Return the hardware screen to its initialized state.

Exhalation Flow Sensor

1. Connect the patient tubing from the ventilator to the high flow port of

a calibrated analyzer (Figure 5-15).
