Gathering Collect Logs

Option
Description
Array Collect
Gathers diagnostic information about a specific Array in the DXi6900-S
system. This information should be available prior to contacting
customer support.

H730 Controller
- Output is located in
/scratch/Hx00collect/
.
The file name includes the serial number of the system and the date
and time. It takes approximately 2 minutes to complete this collect.
l
Array Controllers
- Output is locate in
/scratch/LSIcollect/
. The
file name includes the serial number of the system and the date and
time. It takes approximately 5 minutes to complete this collect log for
one Array.
Dell Collect
Gathers DSET log on the DXi6900-S system. This information should be
available prior to contacting customer support. Previous DSET logs are
over-written when a Dell collect command is executed.
The
DSET-Report
output file is located in
/root/
. The file name
includes the service tag of the Node and the date and time. It takes up to
30 minutes or more to complete this collect.
Engineering Tools
Includes tools for Engineering. Do not use these options in the field.
Open Manage Web Svc
This service is disabled by default.
Pick to Order (PTO) Menu
The
Pick to Order (PTO) Menu
allows you to perform Pick to Order (PTO) configuration when installing a
DXi6900-S or after performing a PTO fresh software install. For more information on performing PTO
configuration, see the section “Performing Pick to Order Configuration” in the
DXi6900-S Installation and
Configuration Guide
.
Gathering Collect Logs
Collect logs (also called diagnostic files) contain system information that is helpful when troubleshooting
problems with Quantum Customer Support. You should gather these files prior to calling Quantum
Customer Support.
Use the following methods to gather a collect log:
