b. Remove the 10-32 x 3/4 in. SEM screw with washer on each side of the Array or Expansion
Module’s front panel.
Caution:
Do not use excessive force when pulling the chassis forward to fully extend the Node or
Expansion Module in the rack rails. Using excessive force could bypass the slide rail stop
mechanism.

4. Remove all hard drives from the failed Array module or Expansion module chassis (see
Node Solid State Drive on page 73
).
Caution:
You
must
note the number of each hard drive and temporarily label them before removal
so that you can install each of them in the correct location in the replacement Array module or
Expansion module chassis.
5. Remove both power supplies from the failed Array module or Expansion module chassis (see
an Array or Expansion Power Supply on page 154
).
6. Do one of the following:

Remove both Array module controllers from the failed Array module chassis (see
Array Module Controller on page 158
). Make sure to label them “Controller A” (left controller as you
face the rear of the module) and “Controller B” (right controller as you face the rear of the module).

Remove both Expansion module ESM canisters from the failed Expansion module chassis (see
Replacing an Expansion Module ESM Canister on page 168
). Make sure to label them “ESM A” (left
