Replacing the Network Daughter Card
This section describes how to remove and replace the network daughter card in the DXi6900-S Node.
Caution:
Use appropriate ESD precautions, including the use of a grounding strap, when performing
this procedure.

Identifying a Failed Network Daughter Card
The DXi6900 Node contains a network daughter card that provides three customer-accessible 1 GbE ports
(ETH1, ETH2, and ETH3) in the Node.
Note:
The service port, ETH0, is also located on the network daughter card.
To identify a failed network daughter card:
1. Access the remote management console (see
Accessing Remote Management on page 21
).
2. Navigate to the
Status > Hardware > Details > Network Ports
page.
3. Under
Network Ports
, note the status of ports
ETH1

ETH2
, and
ETH3
