One Touch Copy

The One Touch Co p y featu r e co p ies the
cu rr ently p laying o r selected (in the Disc
Navigato r ) HDD title to DVD, o r DVD title to
HDD. The whole title is co p ied, r ega r dless of
whe r e in the title you sta r t the co p y.
HDD to DVD co p ies a r e made in the same
r eco r ding mode. When co p ying DVD to
HDD, the co p y is made in whateve r
r eco r ding mode is cu rr ently set.
Make su r e that a r eco r dable DVD disc is
loaded when t r ying to co p y f r om the HDD.
1 If you’re copying from DVD to
the HDD, select a recording mode.
Note that selecting a r eco r ding mode highe r
than the title p laying will not r esult in a bette r
quality r eco r ding.
2 Press during playback to copy
the current title.
The f r ont p anel dis p lay indicates that the title
is being co p ied.
• High-s p eed co p ying is used when
co p ying f r om the HDD to DVD. Playback
continues while co p ying.
• Real-time co p ying is used when co p ying
f r om DVD to the HDD. Playback r esta r ts
f r om the beginning of the title.
Cancelling One Touch Copy
You can cancel a One Touch Co p y once it’s
sta r ted.
• Press and hold for more than a
second.
Co p ying is cancelled and the video al r eady
co p ied is e r ased.
• If you cancel an HDD to DVD-R/+R co p y,
the s p ace available fo r r eco r ding does
not r etu r n to the pr e-co p y figu r e.

• Title name, cha p te r ma r ke r s, as well as
thumbnail p ictu r e ma r ke r s fo r the Disc
Navigato r , a r e also co p ied. Howeve r , if
you co p y to a DVD-R/-RW (Video mode)
o r DVD+R/+RW, only the fi r st
40 cha r acte r s of a name a r e co p ied.
• The cha p te r ma r ke r s in the co p y may not
be in exactly the same p ositions as the
o r iginal when r eco r ding on to a DVD-R/
-RW (Video mode) o r DVD+R/+RW.
• You can’t use the One Touch Co p y
function to co p y a title if any p a r t of the
title is co p y-once pr otected.
• A title that contains mixed as p ect r atios
can’t be co p ied to a DVD-R/-RW (Video
mode) o r DVD+R/+RW. Use a DVD-R/
-RW (VR mode) o r DVD-RAM disc fo r this
ty p e of mate r ial.
• Low r esolution ( SEP th r ough LP modes
