Using a USB keyboard to enter a name
Using a USB keyboa r d connected to this
r eco r de r makes ente r ing names ve r y quick
and convenient.

When in USB keyboa r d
in p ut mode, a USB icon ( ) a pp ea r s in the
lowe r -left of the sc r een.

Othe r than the standa r d al p ha-nume r ic keys,
use the following keys when ente r ing names:
Set Thumbnail
You can change the thumbnail p ictu r e that
a pp ea r s in the Disc Navigato r fo r a title to
any f r ame that a pp ea r s in that title.
1 Highlight the title you want to
change the thumbnail picture for.
2 Select ‘Edit’ > ‘Set Thumbnail’
from the command menu panel.
The thumbnail setting sc r een a pp ea r s and
the p layback sta r ts f r om the beginning of the
title.
3 Use the playback controls (

,

,

, etc.) to find a suitable frame, then
press ENTER to set.
You can also use the cha p te r and time
sea r ch featu r es ( pr ess the MENU button),
and the CM SKIP and CM BACK
buttons.
4 Select ‘Exit’ to return to the Edit
screen.
Erase Section
Using this command you can delete a p a r t of
a title, ideal fo r cutting out the comme r cial
b r eaks in a r eco r ding made f r om the TV.
1 Highlight the title containing
the section you want to erase.
2 Select ‘Edit’ > ‘Erase Section’
from the command menu panel.

2 If you use the r emote cont r ol to ente r a name when in the USB keyboa r d in p ut mode, the r eco r de r will
automatically switch to r emote cont r ol in p ut mode. P r ess any key on the USB keyboa r d to r etu r n to USB
keyboa r d in p ut mode.
