Please use the

The HDD should not be regarded as a place to
store recordings permanently. We
recommend that you back up your important
recordings onto DVD discs in order to protect
against accidental loss.
Pioneer cannot under any circumstances
accept responsibility for any direct or indirect
loss arising from any inconvenience or loss of
recorded material resulting from HDD failure.

• Do not use the

in excessively

e can cause condensation to

cause of HDD failu

eezing
and noticeable block noise (mosaic) in

ning signs of HDD failu

e.
If the HDD fails, no

layback of

ded
mate
r
ial will be

ossible. In this case it
will be necessa

lace the HDD
unit.
Optimizing HDD performance
As you
r
eco
r
d and edit mate
r
ial on the HDD,
the data on the disk becomes f

agmented,
eventually affecting the
r
eco
r
de
r
’s
p
e
r
fo
r
mance. Befo

n you that it is time to

timize the HDD (which you can do f
