Erasing a file or folder
1 Select the file(s) or folder(s) you
want to erase.
• To e r ase multi p le files o r folde r s, use the
Multi-Mode; see

• E r asing a folde r will e r ase all the files
contained in it.

Please be ca r eful!
• You can’t e r ase files that have been
locked.
• Folde r s containing locked files can’t be
e r ased. Unlocked files in the folde r ,
howeve r , will be e r ased.
2 Select ‘File Options’ or ‘Folder
Options’ from the command menu panel.
3 Select ‘Erase’ or ‘Erase Folder’.
4 Select ‘Yes’ to confirm or ‘No’
to cancel.
• You can also e r ase a file o r folde r by
pr essing
CLEAR
when the file o r folde r is
highlighted. P r ess ENTER to confi r m.
Copying files
1 Select the file(s) or folder(s) you
want to copy.
• Co p ying a folde r will co p y all the files
contained in it.
• To co p y multi p le files o r folde r s, use the
Multi-Mode; see

2 Select ‘File Options’ or ‘Folder
Options’ from the command menu panel.
3 Select ‘Copy’ or ‘Copy Folder
Contents’.
4 Select a folder to copy the
folder(s)/file(s) to.
5 Select ‘Yes’ to confirm or ‘No’
to cancel.
• Co p ying to the HDD will not wo r k if the r e
is insufficient s p ace on the HDD; if the r e
a r e al r eady the maximum numbe r of
files and/o r folde r s on the HDD.
Naming files and folders
1 Select the file or folder you
want to rename.
You can’t r ename files that have been locked.
2 Select ‘File Options’ or ‘Folder
Options’ from the command menu panel.
3 Select ‘Rename File’ or ‘Rename
Folder’.

1 Some time may be r equi r ed to e r ase a folde r if it includes many files.
