■ Cautions concerning open correction and short correction
•
Even if the correction data is measured and copied to the correction memory, the correction function is
not executed unless it is enabled by setting

For both open correction and short correction, the current amplitude (CH2 amplitude) is normalized to
1.0 (Arms) for display. Corrected results for the impedance or admittance values are obtained, but please
note that the displayed values for the voltage amplitude (CH1 amplitude) and the current amplitude
(CH2 amplitude) differ from the measured amplitude values.
•
If the frequency of the correction data is different from the measurement frequency, frequency
interpolation is used to calculate the correction data. If the correction data sweep is coarse, the
interpolation error can be large. Whenever possible, measure the correction data at the same frequency
as the measurement frequency (range and density).
•
If the correction data is measured outside the range specified by the upper and lower frequency limits,
use the correction data for the nearest frequencies (the upper limit frequency or the lower limit
frequency) for the correction calculations.
•
If you set the function to ON without saving the correction data, an error message (-3074, no open
correction data; or -3074 no short correction data) is displayed. (Refer to " Table 7
–3 Errors that occur
during measurement ".) The results of measurements made under those conditions is NaN (Not a
Number).
