5.9 Error correction

FRA 51615

■ Cautions concerning equalizing

• Even if the correction data has been measured and copied to the equalizing memory, the function will

not work unless it has been enabled by setting

• When equalizing is performed, the amplitude of CH2 is normalized to 1.0 (Vrms) and displayed.

Corrected results are obtained for gain and phase, but please note that the amplitudes displayed for CH1

and CH2 differ from the measured amplitudes.

• If the frequency of the correction data is different from the measurement frequency, use frequency

interpolation to calculate the correction data. If the correction data sweep is coarse, the interpolation

error can be large. Whenever possible, measure the correction data at the same frequency as the

measurement frequency (range and density).

• If the correction data is measured outside the range specified by the upper and lower frequency limits,

Equalizing calculations are performed using the correction data for the nearest frequencies (the upper

limit frequency or the lower limit frequency).

• If you set the function to ON without saving the correction data, an error message (-3073) is displayed.
