5.9 Error correction

FRA 51615

9) Enable the correction function. Use

to set the correction function to ON.

The preparation for open correction or short correction is completed by performing the steps described

above. Measurement data that has been corrected for stray admittance or residual impedance in the

measurement system can be obtained by connecting the DUT to the measurement ports and performing the

measurements.

The correction data that has been copied to the open correction memory or the short correction memory is

retained, even if the power to the instrument is turned off, so it is available for use the next time the power

is turned on. However, these functions are also executed as a part of the error correction process of the

instrument itself, so we recommend that the open correction data or short correction data be measured again

after the internal temperature has stabilized (about 30 minutes after power up) and after any change in the

ambient temperature.
