■ Cautions concerning the potential slope elimination function

• For normal use of this instrument, turn the potential gradient function off.

The potential gradient function is for analyzing signals that contain variation in electrical potential. For

usual measurements, this function should be turned off. The measurement accuracy specifications for

this instrument are defined for operation with this function turned off.

• Frequency range restrictions

This function is intended for low-frequency measurements such as electrochemical measurements. It is

generally effective at frequencies below about 1 kHz (cycles of 1 ms or more). It is not effective for

signals that involve sudden changes in electrical potential.

• Restrictions on the potential fluctuation waveform

For electrical potential fluctuation, a waveform that changes linearly over time is assumed. Fluctuation

waveforms that involve exponential change functions or waveforms for which there is switching

between charging and discharging during the analysis (triangular potential fluctuation waveforms)

cannot normally be eliminated.
