Correcting toner sensor output voltage
The toner density is subject to humidity changes and the developing unit drive time. To
maintain the toner density constant, the toner sensor output voltage (TNS SIG) is corrected
by the toner sensor control voltage (TNS CONT).
TNS CONT = A + B – C
TNS CONT: toner sensor control voltage (V)
A: setting by simulation 60
B: absolute humidity correction value
C: drive time correction value
• Correction based on the absolute humidity
When high absolute humidity is detected, the toner sensor control voltage (TNS CONT) is
decreased.
The external temperature and relative humidity are read from the external temperature
thermistor (ETTH) and humidity sensor (HUMSENS) and the absolute humidity is calculated
from these values. (Refer to Figure 1-3-11 “Absolute humidity vs. relative humidity” on page
1-3-14.)
